Traditionally in the typical red “Advent color”, green, white or natural, decorated with different miniatures and motifs, they decorate the festive table during the Christmas season.
Advent is a special time in the church year. The Advent candlestick with its candles symbolizes the time of waiting for Christmas, the arrival of the light that represents Jesus Christ.
Each candle in the Advent candlestick represents an Advent Sunday. That’s why, according to an old custom, one candle is lit in the run-up to Christmas from the 1st to the 4th Sunday of Advent.
